Danielle Ganek is an American novelist, journalist, and screenwriter. She is the author of the forthcoming novel "How to Be a Heroine" (June 9, 2015) from Harper Perennial. Danielle is also the author of two other novels, "The Opposite of Everything" (2011) and ""A Star to Steer Her By" (2012). Her work has appeared in The New York Times Magazine, The Atlantic, Cosmopolitan, Seventeen, People, Seventeen Teen, Glamour, Marie Claire, Good Housekeeping and many other publications
She was a contributing editor at Elle.com. Danielle's work has been anthologized in Best American Essays 2013, 2014 and 2015. She is an alumna of the Sundance Institute's Master of Fine Arts in Screenwriting Program at the University of Southern California where she received the 2014 Writers Guild Award for Best Original Screenplay for her feature film script "To Rome with Love".
